Etiquette is old-fashioned, boring, and unnecessary. People who follow protocol are total hypocrites. Why would I pay for lessons on manners when I can just google it for free?
Chances are, you've either heard these Qs and statements or even thought them yourself. And considering the many stuffy, opinionated people who run around preaching etiquette, I can't blame you.
But they haven't seen the loving, healing power of being polite, kind, even silent sometimes. They don't realize that it's not about the forks and knives. It's about considering the feelings of others. They don't see the lost business and respect that can happen when we don't take care.
And let's be real. We can all use a few gentle reminders about that from time to time.
